Friends of Monument Valley Park

Our volunteer group is committed to safeguarding and preserving Monument Valley Park, ensuring that Gen. Palmer’s vision of a green space in the city's center remains a reality. We repair the park’s historic, man-made structures including stone entries, walls, overlooks and bridges, while also caring for the natural landscape. We host free music concerts, guided walks featuring birds, plants, and trees, and organize park cleanups to encourage community involvement in our cherished historic park.

The Garden of the Gods Foundation preserves and enhances Colorado Springs’ most iconic park through stewardship, education, and sustainable funding. Since 1994, we’ve contributed over $7.6 million to support trail work, restoration, infrastructure, and accessibility. Powered by revenue from the Visitor & Nature Center and generous donors, we protect the park’s beauty and keep access free for all. Join us in preserving this natural wonder for future generations!

MedWheel builds and maintains trails for mountain bikers and all users across our home, the Pikes Peak region. More importantly, we also build strategic relationships with land managers and decision makers at all levels of government, and in the private sector, to create and expand trail opportunities. Palmer Land Conservancy is committed to protecting all the reasons you love Colorado - the outdoor recreation, local food, scenic views, iconic wildlife, and water that sustains us. Richards Rubbish Roundup

Richards Rubbish Roundup (R3) began in October of 2023 when former four-term City Council member Richard Skorman began organizing groups of volunteers to clean up litter along Fountain Creek. Since then, our amazing volunteers have picked up 4,142 bags (82,840 pounds) of trash and safely collected and disposed of 1,428 needles. We have also rallied over 800 volunteers to participate in our Roundups, weather permitting, every week of the year.

Rocky Mountain Field Institute

The Rocky Mountain Field Institute (RMFI) conserves and protects public lands in Southern Colorado through volunteer-based trail and restoration projects, environmental education, and restoration research. We work with every level of government in the Pikes Peak Region to identify pressing land stewardship needs and opportunities. Then, we deploy 20-30 professional trail crew members alongside 800-1,100 volunteers annually to complete this stewardship work.

The Women's Mountain Biking Association of Colorado Springs

The Women’s Mountain Bike Association (WMBA) is dedicated to fostering and empowering a vibrant community of women through the shared experience of group mountain bike rides. Our vision is to see every member develop greater confidence, both on and off the bike. All WMBA rides and skills clinics are led by volunteer ride guides and race team members. These leaders are committed to cultivating an inclusive and supportive environment where every member has the opportunity to grow. As they assist others, our ride guides and race team members also continue to strengthen their own leadership skills.
