Ahavah Community Initiative

Founded April 2018, our mission is to connect people who are facing food insecurity due to financial struggles to locally-farmed, regeneratively-grown produce and to provide education centered around healthy living and environmental consciousness. We fulfill this mission by donating freshly harvested, regeneratively-grown produce to families in need through a weekly vegetable subscription. Memberships include a weekly bag of locally-grown produce along with free farm tours, classes and events.

Benefits in Action

Benefits in Action (BIA) is the trusted organization for comprehensive food and health-related benefits application assistance and program navigation. In 2023, BIA assisted over 20,000 individuals. Benefits in Actions provides expert application assistance for Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) formerly known as Food Stamps, Cash Assistance, Connect 4 Health Colorado, Medicare and Medicare related programs, taxes, and more, at no cost to the clients we assist.

CASA of the Pikes Peak Region

CASA of the Pikes Peak Region exists to change the lives of children who have been victims of child abuse or neglect. One of CASA's programs is called Milton Foster Children's Fund (MFCF) and this program provides foster youth with resources not offered by other local agencies. These resources include extracurricular activities (like camps and lessons), scholarships, life skills workshops, free clothing, and work experience at The Hanger to help build self-esteem and resiliency.

Lotus Foundation

Lotus Foundation works directly with survivors of human trafficking in the Pikes Peak region, providing them with case management and confidential advocacy services. Our goal is to see each survivor leading a safe, healthy, independent life and we are grateful for the opportunity to support them on that journey. Additionally, we are one of very few organizations that serves ALL survivors, regardless of gender, age, race, ethnicity, religion, sex vs labor trafficking, or how recently they were trafficked. Lotus Foundation does not turn away any survivor in need.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace

We’re a group of volunteers dedicated to building, assembling and delivering bunk beds to children 3-17 years old in need with new bedding, pillows, and mattresses. We fully believe that a bed is a basic need for the proper physical, emotional, and mental support that a child needs.

StableStrides' services improve the wellbeing of individuals through a connection with horses. We believe that horses and the therapy they provide is an essential solution to strong and healthy individuals, families, and communities. Individuals who come to StableStrides lives are changed through equine assisted therapy – physical, occupational, speech and mental health – as well as adaptive riding.

Sue's Gift - Gynecologic Cancer Support

When cancer hits below the belt, Sue’s Gift is here to help! We provide financial and emotional support for people facing a gynecologic cancer diagnosis. Our Financial Assistance Program helps pay bills during treatment. Our Peer Support Program trains and empowers survivors to be mentors to newly diagnosed patients with the same cancer type. We also provide chemo support bags, celebrations of survivorship, respite events for caretakers and patients, community building, and we raise awareness.

At Sunrise Service Dogs, we transform lives by pairing people with disabilities with expertly trained service dogs at no cost. We specialize in training carefully selected dogs for mobility assistance, psychiatric support, and medical alert tasks, giving back confidence and independence to incredible members of our community.

TESSA

TESSA is the first point of contact for over 20,000 survivors each year, offering advocacy services through our main office and 24/7 SafeLine. Our advocates help clients navigate immediate crises, access our Safehouse, and secure housing support. We also provide legal advocacy, helping survivors protect themselves and their families. Through counseling and prevention programs that reach 6,500 students annually, TESSA empowers survivors to rebuild their lives and break the cycle of violence.
