Court Care for the Pikes Peak Region provides free, high quality, licensed childcare at the courthouse, shielding children from court-related trauma while helping parents fully engage in legal matters. We serve El Paso and Teller Counties, supporting vulnerable families, crime victims, jurors, and military households with safe, nurturing care for children ages 6 weeks to 14 years.
No child should be exposed to the stress and trauma of a courtroom. Court Care exists to protect children’s emotional well-being while empowering parents to show up fully for court. By removing the barrier of childcare, families can access justice, safety, and stability—especially in moments that shape their futures.
Every child and family who needs care to attend court is served—no one is turned away due to capacity, funding, or staffing. With community support, Court Care can meet growing demand and ensure families facing legal challenges aren’t forced to choose between justice and childcare.
99% of Court Care’s families said having free onsite childcare directly influenced their ability to attend court—many would have brought children to court or skipped their hearing without it.
“I brought my three young kids to Court Care during three weeks of jury duty. They were engaged, happy, and well cared for. The staff were incredible—loving, professional, and clearly passionate. I felt completely at ease knowing my kids were safe, secure, and having a great time.” — Anonymous and proud Court Care parent in 2025
