All Breed Rescue & Training

All Breed Rescue & Training has been an integral part of the community since 1996. We ONLY rescue and rehabilitate LOCAL at-risk dogs who often have no options left. Our Best of the Springs winning training services give our foster dogs a new leash on life. Hundreds of other dogs from our community every year benefit from our relationship-based training programs, many of whom utilizing free or reduced cost services.

Cripple Creek Donkeys - Two Mile High Club

Donkeys were used in the Gold Camps in Cripple Creek in the late 1800’s and released by the 1920's as modern machinery replaced them. The Two Mile High Club (TMHC) formed in 1931 to care for these beasts of burden. For nearly a century, the TMHC has operated on 100% donations, club memberships, sponsorships, and grants. Almost $3,000 annually is needed per donkey for vet and farrier care, food & shelter. Club volunteers work tirelessly year-round to care for these famous mascots.

Happy Cats Haven

Happy Cats Haven is a 95% community funded, local, no-kill feline rescue that serves the Pikes Peak region. The mission of Happy Cats is to ensure that each cat and kitten that comes into the shelter has an opportunity to regain their personality and sense of security after experiencing trauma, abandonment, and homelessness. With behavior training, socialization, time, and love, it is our goal to help abandoned and homeless Colorado cats and kittens find their purrfect forever home.

Harley’s Hope is one of Colorado’s oldest safety net charities and helps keep pets and people together through numerous support services and programs. By doing so, HH helps reduce the number of animals losing their homes or their lives because of their family’s financial challenges. Look What the Cat Brought In

We help treatable special-needs cats at the first shelter in Colorado Springs for cats, exclusively. We accept medically needy cats for rehab, treatment and adoption. Cats that need more time to become adoptable and that may be at-risk of euthanasia come from Colorado homes, rescue groups and other shelters.

National Mill Dog Rescue

NMDR rescues retired breeding dogs from across the country and provides medical care, rehabilitation, and adoption to loving homes. We have rescued over 20,000 dogs since 2007! Our main facility is in Peyton, and we recently expanded to Missouri with "Dogsville," a hub that enables collaboration with East Coast partners and serves as a stop for our rescue teams. NMDR relies on individual contributions and small grants, making your support vital. Together, we can change lives, one dog at a time.

Paws N Hooves is an all animal rescue organization with a current focus on domestic animals in Colorado shelters & owner surrenders in Colorado. With the national crisis in rehoming, we work with owners to keep their furry family through our community outreach program which may be able to provide food, vaccinations, s/n surgery along with positive only training support. We also help when your friend is on the run and needs help finding their way back.

Safe Place for Pets

Safe Place for Pets helps people who are terminally ill by finding homes for their pets. Founded by hospice nurses 28 years ago, Safe Place has an army of volunteers who place as many as 50 dogs and cats each year, which helps a lot of families going through a difficult time and a lot of pets leaving the only home they have ever known. We see to a pets' dental and medical needs and give them time to heal emotionally, so they are ready to open their heart to a new home.
