At Safe Families for Children, we believe that when families face overwhelming circumstances, most parents don’t need someone to replace them; they need a community to walk alongside them. We mobilize trained volunteers to provide caring relationships, practical support, and temporary care when needed, helping keep children safe while preventing unnecessary separation from their families whenever possible.
Every family experiences difficult seasons. Many parents don’t become separated from their children because they lack love, but because they lack the practical and relational support they need when it matters most. Safe Families mobilizes compassionate volunteers to walk alongside families, helping keep children safe and families together.
Your generosity does more than fund a program; it builds a community of support. As our region experiences increasing requests from families, our goal is to recruit and equip more volunteers, deepen partnerships with local churches, and expand the number of families who receive meaningful support.
In El Paso County, nearly one in three households experiences financial hardship. For many parents, a temporary crisis isn’t caused by a lack of love—it stems from a lack of practical support.
“I sincerely appreciate the volunteers who give their time to care for my grandson. Your compassion not only supports him but also gives our family the gift of peace, rest, and hope.” — Rebecca
