Established after the Club Q tragedy, Prism Community Collective is a community- and survivor-led LGBTQ+ resource center serving those impacted and the Pikes Peak Region.
Healing requires remembrance. Guided by the five victims’ families, Prism is working with artist Lionel Brackman and the City of Colorado Springs to create a permanent memorial honoring the five lives lost and preserving their stories for future generations.
Give! funds support its fabrication, installation, and maintenance.
The Club Q memorial is about more than remembering a tragedy. It is about honoring the individuality and humanity of the five lives taken and preserving their stories. Through permanent public art, their lives and the experiences of the LGBTQ+ community can remain visible as part of Colorado Springs’ larger history. Your gift helps create a lasting place where future generations can remember those we lost.
This year, we are working to bring the five victims’ families’ vision for a permanent Club Q memorial to life. Funds raised through Give! will support the memorial’s fabrication, installation, and long-term maintenance, creating a lasting place for remembrance and reflection for generations to come.
When asked what would most improve their well-being, 35% of LGBTQ+ community members identified more community spaces and events, highlighting the importance of places where people can connect and find belonging.
“Watching everything unfold [after Club Q], we became divided. We were very broken. Places like Prism are what's getting the community through. It provides the resources and belonging we need to continue on.” — Ashtin Gamblin
