Pikes Peak Outdoors is the Colorado Outdoor Regional Partner for the Pikes Peak region, connecting the people, businesses, nonprofits, and public agencies shaping our outdoor future across El Paso, Teller, and Fremont counties. We strengthen the outdoor recreation economy, advocate for conservation, champion regional initiatives, and bring partners together to turn ideas into action. Our Stewardship Fund helps put resources behind projects that improve trails, care for public lands, and protect the outdoor places that define our region.
The Pikes Peak region’s outdoor spaces are part of what makes this a great place to live, work, and visit. But great trails and healthy public lands don’t happen on their own. They need investment, care, and people willing to speak up for conservation. PPO connects the region’s outdoor community to tackle shared challenges and make sure recreation and conservation remain priorities as our region grows.
We want the Stewardship Fund to help more good projects get off the ground. Donations give PPO flexibility to support trail repairs, maintenance, volunteer efforts, and conservation projects while helping local partners turn their ideas into lasting improvements.
The Stewardship Fund has supported projects like Ladders Trail, Buckhorn Trail repairs, and the Forest Lakes Connector. PPO also helped launch the Pikes Peak APEX, linking mountain biking with trail stewardship.
“I was born and raised in Colorado Springs—the outdoor spaces here have always been a crucial part of our community. I am so thankful for the work PPO does to protect these places and our opportunities for recreation.” — Sam Hinkle
