Millibo Art Theatre

What

As we begin our 24th season of creating and producing original theatre in the Pikes Peak region, the Millibo Art Theatre continues to foster a true culture of live performing arts for audiences of all ages. This season we will present ten new plays for families, six new plays in our Premiere series and six productions of comedy, cabaret and circus as well as continuing our community partnerships in music and dance. In addition, we are dedicated to educating audiences and performers through workshops, ongoing classes, and 21 different Summer Camps for ages 4 through high school. We make live theatre accessible, illuminating and big fun.

Why

For twenty-four years, the Millibo Art Theatre has cultivated a true arts community in the Pikes Peak region, allowing local performing artists, national and international touring artists, and audiences of all ages to come together in our intimate 109-seat venue and experience the true value of live theatre. We are great believers in the power of the performing arts to inspire, educate, and entertain. As one young audience member recently put it “this place should win the happy award!”.

Goals

Our 25-26 season will bring 30 different productions to the stage for audiences of all ages. Touring shows, short play festivals, comedy improv, circus, cabaret, and professional theatre for children are all on the schedule. We will educate our audiences and performers with classes and workshops while advocating for the growth of a true culture of live performance throughout the Pikes Peak region.

Did You Know

A good belly laugh shared by an audience at a live theatre performance has immense mental and physical health benefits.

“I attend shows to be transformed, to feel the air around me crackle when my open heart collides with stories well told. Thank you for enriching lives. The world needs what you create.” — Ellen Webster - Millibo patron
