Medicine Wheel Trail Advocates

What

MedWheel creates and maintains trails for mountain bikers and all users throughout the Pikes Peak region. We maintain strategic relationships with land managers, governmental, and private sector decision makers, in order to provide inspiring trail experiences. Our volunteer programs empower YOU to give back to YOUR local trail system – by advocating, building and maintaining trails for today, and for future generations.

Why

We all live here because we value our connection to the outdoors, through trail experiences that rejuvenate and energize.

MedWheel speaks up for YOU during planning processes, and guides YOU to use your voice effectively.

We combine decades of experience with the latest techniques and equipment to make more and better trails for everyone.

Goals

With your support in 2025, MedWheel can expand our capacity to create new trails through volunteer dig days, supported by specialized equipment.
Our projects include multi-use mountain connections, beginner and progressive trails, technical downhills and bike parks at more than a dozen locations.

Did You Know

In 2024 MedWheel completed the design and construction of a mountain bike race course at Fountain Valley School, the first Colorado High School Cycling League course on the front range.

“MedWheel consistently provides an effective voice for mountain bikers and all trail users in our region, always advocating for more and better trails on public lands.” — Greg Thornton, Parks Board Rep
