Our mission is to help people escape the cycle of poverty and homelessness, secure stable long-term housing, and achieve a self-determined vision for their lives. I really cannot say it any better than our own mission statement, for this is exactly what we do. My job title is Facilities Director, however the objective within me reaches much farther than fixing a leaky faucet. Our residents receive me as their neighbor.
We do what we do, because we’ve taken a personal look within our own communities, and have found a “need” for individuals to have a second or third or fourth chance at life, and we have the ability to facilitate that. Here at Ithaka we are a tight knit team, we all agree that if we CAN provide, we MUST provide, and we’re honored to do so.
As with any Property Management organization, we have consistent repairs, cleanings, maintenance and plenty of “updating” to stay on top of, year-round. Our goal is to continue to provide reliable, effictive, and responsible ways to facilitate this.
34% of our residents moved into stable housing, 45% continue advancing at Ithaka, 83% achieve progress toward long-term goals, 73% achieve
financial stability, & 74% achieve long term stable housing
“Ithaka, in their kindness, has given my family more than four walls. They have given us a stability, hope, a chance to rebuild, and a future to believe in.” — John
