intrinsic motivation; connect people from diverse places and lived experiences; connect US ALL to a sense of community; connect US ALL to our own form of creativity.

Why

Creativity is essential– to our health, our relationships, our community. Employers rank creativity, collaboration, and adaptability among the skills they need most. As AI takes over more tasks, these human capacities — imagination, judgment, expression — will define us. What IF…? is the question before any creative endeavor. What IF…we build our creative thinking muscles to improve our community and ourselves

Goals

– Grow creative capacity in people via our spaces and resources to make, learn, experiment, and share
– Continue to improve wellbeing of marginalized people through the proven power of creative engagement
– Activate “The Portal” (life-sized zoom) to expand our minds and imagine a better world
– Promote more “What If’s…”
– Support educators who teach creativity

Did You Know

While intelligence (IQ) and creativity (CQ) scores were climbing in the U.S. before 1990, research shows creativity has taken an alarming downturn for children and adults in the past decades.
