Friends of Cheyenne Cañon preserves, protects, and enhances one of Colorado Springs’ most treasured parks. Through trail restoration, habitat stewardship, and education, we mobilize volunteers and foster community stewardship to ensure North Cheyenne Cañon remains a beautiful, accessible place for people to hike, explore, and connect with nature for generations to come.
North Cheyenne Cañon belongs to all of us. It provides a place to exercise, recharge, learn, volunteer, and experience the beauty of the outdoors. By investing in its future, we strengthen our community and ensure this landscape remains a source of pride and connection for generations.
We are focused on preserving and restoring our beloved Columbine Trail. Heavy use, seasonal storms, and erosion all take a toll on the trail, making ongoing stewardship essential. We’re seeking $12,000 to improve Upper, Middle, and Lower Columbine Trail.
More than 450,000 people visit North Cheyenne Cañon Park each year—every donation helps protect the trails and natural beauty they come to enjoy
“I've hiked Columbine Trail in every season, and every visit reminds me how lucky we are to have this park in our community. It doesn't stay beautiful on its own. Stewardship takes people who care, and Friends of Cheyenne Cañon makes that possible.” — Pikes Peak Region Resident
