StableStrides’ services improve the wellbeing of individuals through a connection with horses. We believe that horses and the therapy they provide is an essential solution to strong and healthy individuals, families, and communities. Individuals who come to StableStrides lives are changed through equine assisted therapy – physical, occupational, speech and mental health – as well as adaptive riding.
Lives improve because of an experience at StableStrides. 100% of clients report positive impacts from their connection with a horse. Clients meet challenges, try hard things, succeed and fail. We are an environment of love and support, safety and care, fun and joy. Over half of our clients are active duty military, veterans, or their families; nearly half are youth. Positive growth creates a better community for all.
With money raised, StableStrides will fund the Rider Support Fund and the Operation Mack fund. The Rider Support Fund allows riders to access services with a sliding scale based on their ability to pay. Operation Mack supports services for children of veterans and active duty military members.
StableStrides serves 700 individuals yearly in 5,500 sessions. Volunteers give 8,000 hours annually. We serve over 400 active duty, veterans, & their families. 100% of clients report positive results.
“We began the program in May of this year and Emma immediately started gaining the core strength and coordination that she needed, and literally left her walker behind her a month into the program! It has been nothing short of unbelievable for us, but most importantly for our daughter!” — Derrick and Mallory, parents of a client
