We’re a group of volunteers dedicated to building, assembling and delivering bunk beds to children 3-17 years old in need with new bedding, pillows, and mattresses. We fully believe that a bed is a basic need for the proper physical, emotional, and mental support that a child needs.
We give hope to kids. Kids can’t control their environment. We deliver beds to kids sleeping on the floor or unsafe conditions. This gives them self pride in owning their own bed, their own space. Many of these kids have never had a bed or their own bed. Most of us take it for granted to have a bed and get a good nights sleep, but there are kids in our town that don’t have that and we provide that to them.
SHP needs are simple, awareness about bedlessness in our community, awareness that we can help fulfill that need, and volunteers to help us build and deliver beds. We have over 200 kids waiting for beds and need help funding to build those beds and delivering those beds.
3% of the kids in our community are without beds, sleeping on the floor, on a couch, or other unsafe situations. We know kids have more confidence and do better in school with a good nights sleep.
“They bless a lot of people and I am one of the families they helped me. I couldn’t afford a bed for my kids and now my kids no longer sleep on the floor. My girls love their new beds. We are forever grateful. Thankful for all you did for us.” — Anonymous Mom
