We host the longest-running women’s film festival in North America, now celebrating our 38th year! Through film—and the stories of women and others who are too often unheard or unseen—we foster connection and help cultivate a more empathetic community. Beyond our ticketed events, we are committed to access: offering Film in the Community and Film Club, year-round programs that bring independent films to neighborhoods and venues across Colorado Springs, always free of charge.
We believe stories have the power to transform. Our mission matters because representation matters;when diverse voices are heard, communities grow stronger, more empathetic, and more connected. By elevating women’s voices and those often unheard and unseen, we create space for meaningful dialogue, expand perspectives, and inspire action. We not only entertain, we build a more inclusive cultural landscape for all.
Grow our network of partners, increase community engagement, and broaden awareness of our Film in the Community and Film Club free screenings, including our Prison Program where we bring independent films and meaningful storytelling to women’s correctional facilities in Colorado.
We bring film directly into neighborhoods, free of charge, ensuring all people have access to meaningful stories and cultural experiences close by.
“I can't tell you how much I learned and enjoyed the Film in the Community event. The friendliness of everyone present was outstanding…..obviously everyone felt quite welcome.” — Anonymous attendees at Film in the Community
