Project Ember is a nonprofit organization that provides counseling/therapy services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. What makes us unique is that we offer experience based therapy, not just your traditional talk therapy. If you want to get off the couch and go for a hike, do some art, cook, or practice yoga as part of your session, we can do that. If you are looking for a place that is warm and welcoming, and doesn’t give off the stereotypical counseling vibe, that’s us!
Project Ember’s mission statement is, “Empowering youth and families to forge generational change, one relationship at a time.” We believe that every individual, or “ember,” who walks through our doors has immense value and a purpose, and has the ability to ignite positive change in themselves, their families, and their communities.
#1: Increase funding for our Behavioral Health Services Scholarships which allows us to provide counseling/therapy services at low to no cost for those who would otherwise be unable to afford it.
#2: Increase funding for our capital campaign to purchase our own facility and wellness center
We help over 300 clients per week and conducted over 16,000 sessions in 2024, working with clients on issues of substance use, suicidality, depression, anxiety, divorce, and other mental health issues
“I started going to Project Ember after losing several family members to suicide over the past couple years. I was in a pretty dark spot, wondering if taking my own life was the only option I had to stop hurting all the time. By going to therapy, I found myself again and found hope to keep going.” — Anonymous client in 2025
