WE ARE KEEPING THE MUSIC ALIVE! Our band/orchestra group brings 200+ people together each week to play in 8 wind and string ensembles. We range in age from 18 to 90+ years old and we all treasure the joy of making music. We provide 20+ free concerts annually in community venues.
NHBCOS provides a path for musicians of all skills to reintroduce music into their lives. Reading music and playing an instrument builds mental, emotional, and physical stamina. Performing in a musical ensemble is FUN!
With your help we would like to purchase a Timpani Set for our orchestras. Ours are old and need replaced. This will provide much better sound and enjoyment for our musicians and audiences.
Our membership includes 5 musicians 90+ years old and many under the age of 30! The resulting camaraderie and mutual respect is the essence of community.
