At NMDR, we rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome discarded commercial breeding dogs from across the nation, giving them a second chance at life. With over 25,000 dogs saved since 2007 and a new facility expanding our reach, we’re building a more compassionate community, one dog at a time.
People often think rescue is the day a dog is removed from a bad situation. In reality, that’s when the work begins. Every dog deserves to feel safe, loved, and free. At NMDR, we rescue dogs who have never known that kind of life and give them a second chance. Healing them—physically and emotionally—is what transforms a rescued dog into a beloved family companion. That’s the part our community makes possible.
Increased funding will help us expand our medical and rehabilitation services, grow our volunteer and foster network, and continue our education and outreach programs in the Pikes Peak Region. Together, we can reach more dogs, serve more families, and bring hope to even more communities.
These dogs have often gone years without the veterinary care they deserve; many have never touched grass, been held, or known a kind human touch until the day we brought them home.
