Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center exists to support military members, veterans, and their families through wraparound services that provide employment and transition assistance, and help with basic needs like food and shelter, as well as behavioral health and wellness support. By collaborating with partners, our goal is to provide a hand up – not a handout – to help veterans and service members through challenging times in their lives.
Mt. Carmel provides best practices for military members, veterans, and their families through accessible programs, integrated resources, and collaborative partnerships that empower lives and strengthen our community.
Mt. Carmel needs community support to continue serving veterans. We provide low-barrier assistance, including bi-monthly food distribution, holiday toys for children, employment fairs, and alternative therapies like art, tai chi, yoga, and equine therapy. Your support helps us reach more veterans in need.
Mt. Carmel started in Congressional District Five, which has the largest veteran population in the nation. Since opening its doors, it has expanded to Pueblo, Westcliffe, Trinidad, and Monte Vista. The goal is to reach every veteran in the state.
